Switch to the __DEVICE_ATTR() macro which can handle callbacks taking
both const and non-const attribute structure arguments.
Allow the step-wise migration of the drivers.
Also use container_of_const() over container_of() to avoid casting away
the constness accidentally.

The ChromeOS EC APIs use integers representing degrees kelvin for
temperatures. The default conversions from linux/units.h will then
always convert these integer degrees celsius with a 150 millidegree
offset. This is a bit confusing, as it also differs from other CrOS EC
tooling. Internally the EC uses a kelvin to celsius offset of a round
273, so the current conversion is also not entirely accurate.
Implement a custom conversion which preserves round values.

There is an ongoing effort to replace the usage of __ASSEMBLY__ with
__ASSEMBLER__ throughout the kernel tree, see for example
commit 287d163322 ("arm64: Replace __ASSEMBLY__ with __ASSEMBLER__ in
non-uapi headers"). The latter is automatically provided by all compilers
and preprocessors supported by the kernel, so the explicit definitions
of __ASSEMBLY__ can be removed.
However the UAPI headers might be used with non-GCC-compatible
compilers, which do not define __ASSEMBLER__ automatically.
So this migration may break users. Also during the migration phase, the
UAPI headers will use a mix of *both* __ASSEMBLY__ and __ASSEMBLER__ at
the same time, which is ugly and inconsistent.
For now make sure that the exported UAPI headers consistently use
__ASSEMBLY__ as before.

Currently the generic __ATTR*() macros are used to initialize kobject
attributes. These are not able to handle the upcoming piece-by-piece
constification of the attribute callback handlers.
Add dedicated macros of kobject attributes. For now these are the same
as the generic macros, but they will change soon. Users will be
converted to these macros as part of the constification, but it is
expected that they will be used generally in the future.

The loop in clear_user_pages() iterates over all pages and calls
clear_user_page() for each of them. During the loop "vaddr" is modified.
However on m68k clear_user() is a macro which does not use "vaddr". The
compiler sees a variable which is modified but never used and emits a
warning for that:

Both ARM and ARM64 which are a dependency for CHROME_PLATFORMS have
seldomly used big-endian variants.
The ChromeOS EC framework and drivers are written under the assumption
that they will be running on a little-endian systems. Code which would
be broken on big-endian can be found trivially.
Some examples:
cros_ec.c: suspend_params.sleep_timeout_ms = ec_dev->suspend_timeout_ms
cros_ec_debugfs.c: resp->time_since_ec_boot_ms
cros_ec_wdt.c: arg.req.reboot_timeout_sec = wdd->timeout

On architectures with 32-bit longs, call the compat syscall
__NR_ftruncate64. As off_t is 64-bit it must be split into 2 registers.
Unlike llseek() which passes the high and low parts in explicitly named
arguments, the order here is endian independent.
Some architectures (arm, mips, ppc) require this pair of registers to
be aligned to an even register, so add custom _sys_ftruncate64()
wrappers for those.
A test case for ftruncate is added which validates negative length or
invalid fd return the appropriate error, and checks the length is
correct on success.

The N32 system call ABI expects 64-bit values directly in registers.
This does not work on nolibc currently, as a 'long' is only 32 bits
wide. Switch the system call wrappers to use 'long long' instead which
can handle 64-bit values on N32. As on N64 'long' and 'long long' are
the same, this does not change the behavior there.

Currently all system call wrappers return 'long' integers which can be
directly cast to 'void *' if the returned value is actually a pointer.
An upcoming change will change the system call wrappers to sometimes
return 'long long' which can not be cast to a pointer directly.
Add explicit cast through 'long' to prepare for this.

In the architecture specific system call glue, all arguments are
currently casted to 'long' to fit into registers. This works for
pointers as 'long' has the same size as pointers.
However the system call registers for X32 and MIPS N32 need to be
'long long' to work correctly for 64-bit values expected by the system
call ABI. Casting a pointer to a 'long long' will produce a compiler
warning while casting 64-bit integers to 'long' will truncate those.
Add a helper which can be used to correctly cast both pointers and
integers into 'long long' registers. Cast the pointers through
'unsigned' to avoid any sign extensions.
Both builtins have been available since at least GCC 3 and clang 3.

Functions which are known at compile-time to result in ENOSYS can be
surprising to the user. For example using old UAPI headers might mean
that stat() will always fail although the kernel would have the system
call available at runtime. Nowadays __nolibc_enosys() should never be
called for normal applications.
Switch the silent ENOSYS return into a compile-time error, so the user
is aware about the issue. Prefer the 'error' attribute as it provides
the best diagnostics. If the users defines NOLIBC_COMPILE_TIME_ENOSYS
the old, silent fallback is kept.
Also add a test which validates that the error can be optimized away.

The fixdep hostprog may be built multiple times during a single build.
Once during the configuration phase and later during the regular phase.
As only the regular build phase respects CONFIG_WERROR / W=e, the
compiler flags might change between the phases, leading to rebuilds.
Example, the rebuilds will happen twice on each invocation of the build:

Fix the compilation flags used for scripts/basic/ before
scripts/Makefile.warn is evaluated to stop CONFIG_WERROR / W=e
influencing the fixdep build to avoid the spurious rebuilds.

There is no reason to build random drivers for obscure hardware into the
core kernel by default.
The usages of 'default !EXPERT' for the HID_PICOLCD suboptions are kept,
as these make some sense, although they probably should use 'default y'.

The automatic skipping of tests on ENOSYS returns was introduced in
commit 349afc8a52 ("selftests/nolibc: skip tests for unimplemented
syscalls"). It handled the fact that nolibc would return ENOSYS for many
syscall wrappers on riscv32.
Nowadays nolibc handles all these correctly, so this logic is not used
anymore. To make missing nolibc functionality more obvious fail the
tests again if something is not implemented.
Revert the mentioned commit again.

The standard syscall() function or macro uses the libc return value
convention. Errors returned from the kernel as negative values are
stored in errno and -1 is returned. Users who want to avoid using
errno don't have a way to call raw syscalls and check the returned
error.
Add a new macro _syscall() which works like the standard syscall()
but passes through the return value from the kernel unchanged.
The naming scheme and return values match the named _sys_foo()
system call wrappers already part of nolibc.

__sysret() transforms the return value from the kernel into the libc
return value convention. There is no reason for it to be called in the
middle of the internals of the syscall() implementation macros.
Move the call up, directly into syscall(), to make the code simpler.

nolibc should work without libgcc to be compatible with as many
toolchains as possible. Currently the functionality tested by
nolibc-test does not contain any dependencies, make sure it stays
this way by not linking libgcc anymore.
On the ppc target GCC always emits references to '_restgpr_' functions,
so keep linking libgcc there.

On some architectures without native division instructions
the division can generate calls into libgcc/compiler-rt.
This library might not be available, so its use should be avoided.
Use the compiler builtin to check for overflows without needing a
division. The builtin has been available since GCC 3 and clang 3.8.

Currently checksyscalls.sh is unconditionally executed during each build.
Most of these executions are unnecessary.
Only run checksyscalls.sh if one of its inputs have changed.
This new logic does not work for the multiple invocations done for MIPS.
The effect is that checksyscalls.sh is still executed unconditionally.
However this is not worse than before.

The current custom implementation of offsetof() fails UBSAN:
runtime error: member access within null pointer of type 'struct ...'
This means that all its users, including container_of(), free() and
realloc(), fail.
Use __builtin_offsetof() instead which does not have this issue and
has been available since GCC 4 and clang 3.

statx() returns both 32-bit minor and major numbers. For both of them to
fit into the 'dev_t' in 'struct stat', that needs to be 64 bits wide.
The other uses of 'dev_t' in nolibc are makedev() and friends and
mknod(). makedev() and friends are going to be adapted in an upcoming
commit and mknod() will silently truncate 'dev_t' to 'unsigned int' in
the kernel, similar to other libcs.

Functions make it easier to keep the input and output types straight and
avoid duplicate evaluations of their arguments.
Also these functions will become a bit more complex to handle full
64-bit 'dev_t' which is easier to read in a function.
Still stay compatible with code which expects these to be macros.

If 'readelf -n' encounters a note it does not recognize it emits a
warning. This for example happens when inspecting a compat vDSO for
which the main kernel toolchain was not used.
However the relevant build ID note is always readable, so the
warnings are pointless.
Hide the warnings to make it possible to extract build IDs for more
architectures in the future.
